To cut down on plastic waste and encourage the establishment of plastic recycling firms, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs (MECA) on Tuesday launched the ‘Best Environmental Initiative Award for Reducing Plastic Pollution’ contest under the auspices of its Undersecretary H E Najeeb bin Ali al Rawas.
