Winners of habta photography contest announced

Muscat – 

The winners of ‘Habta al Eid with A’Saffa’ photography competitors have been announced. In the competitors, which attracted much more than 100 entries from expert and amateur photographers, Salim al Obaidani was declared winner. Ahmed al Hadhrami took the second spot whilst Omar al Busaidi was the third. Hamed al Ghanboosi and Ziyad al Mashari won the fourth and fifth areas respectively.

As per a statement, the aim of the contest was to highlight the habta as conventional Omani marketplace, a well-known occurrence about the sultanate throughout the Eid.

The competitors was organised by A’Saffa Foods.

Obaidani’s winning entry embodies the atmosphere of habta in Nizwa and the participation of citizens in these nearby events. It also highlights the custom prevailing in the wilayat of Nizwa and other wilayats of the sultanate in getting and promoting livestock as component of the preparation for Eid al Adha.

All the contestants had been evaluated by a judging committee that incorporated reporter and photographer Ahmed al Kindi, who is a member of the Photographic Society of Oman, founder of the Oman International Photography Competition and winner of a quantity of nearby and international photography awards, most notably the Sultan Qaboos Award.

The panel also incorporated expert photographer Ahmed al Touqi, member of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and the Photographic Society of Oman who himself has won a quantity of nearby and international awards.
