Christina from Dubai stated, “I flew from the UAE just to watch some of my favourite stars. It is a great event for four days and every day is exciting. I am looking forward to the last day.” Her husband Jack stated, “We are golf fans and make it a point to always come for such events. Oman is a lovely location and the Al Mouj Golf with sea next to the course adds to the overall charm. Though it is windy, our spirits are not compromised.”
Mundhir al Barwani, chairman of Oman Golf Committee stated, “We had to suspend the tourney on Friday due to bad weather, however, it resumed on Saturday. Along with the tourney, we had business meets to promote various opportunities of investment and tourism in Oman.”
Barwani added that golf enthusiasts came from Salalah, Nizwa, Sur. “There are 150 volunteers working tirelessly to ensure the tourney is conducted smoothly. We thank the Ministry of Sports Affairs and the team from the European Tour for their support. With 20 hours of live broadcast, it is expected that almost 200mn people around the world are watching the tournament.”
The complete location at Al Mouj Golf is bubbling with activities. Stalls with different meals things and activities have been a centre of attraction each for youngsters and adults.
