Muscat –
María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, president of the United Nations General Assembly, will be on an official pay a visit to to Oman from January 22-25.
María will meet H E Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, and hold numerous meetings on multilateralism, the priorities of the present session of the United Nations General Assembly which includes ladies and youth empowerment as nicely as cooperation among the Sultanate of Oman and the United Nations.
She will also pay a visit to the National Defence College and provide a lecture on, ‘The importance of multilateralism and the role of the General Assembly in the maintenance on international peace and security’.
María will also pay a visit to the Omani Women’s Association. She will be accompanied by Chef de Cabinet, a senior advisor, a media advisor and her individual assistant. She will return to New York on January 26.
