Survey to help education plans

Survey to assist education plans

In continuation of its commitment to social duty initiatives, Occidental Oman (Oxy) has sponsored the 2019 edition of the Ministry of Higher Education’s Graduate Survey.

Occidental Oman also supported the Graduate Survey final year. The survey invites Omani graduates of all public, private and international Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to answer in its questionnaire.

The survey is a helpful tool to assistance MoHE in gaining statistical details of graduates, their majors, universities and employability price.

The survey is handled by the Graduate Survey Department below the ministry, and it aims to acquire systematic and trustworthy information on graduate employment, understanding and expertise that are necessary to create and assistance future education plans in Oman for Omani graduates, HEIs and employers.

The survey targets around 60,000 graduates and outcomes are going to be studied by MoHE and Education Council to develop strategic education plans in Oman that would match graduates’ expertise with the present labour marketplace specifications.

As per its agreement with MoHE, Occidental Oman supported the initiative by offering 15 Apple iPhones as prizes for a draw that was carried out as incentive for survey respondents. The winners of the draw have been randomly chosen via an electronic method monitored by members of the Graduate Survey Department and supporters.

The programme falls below Occidental Oman’s umbrella of strategic partnerships and continuous collaboration with important stakeholders, and is component of Occidental Oman’s endeavour and lengthy-term commitment to assistance programmes that boost financial development and sustainable improvement and that yield optimistic impacts.
