Salalah –
H E Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, on Monday received Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister and President’s Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa.
The two sides exchanged views on several issues of common concern. They stressed the significance of supporting all efforts to strengthen cooperation and understanding to market peace and stability in the globe.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al Busaidi, Secretary General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and H E Dmitry Dogadkin, Ambassador of Russia to Oman.
Later, a political consultation session was held to go over numerous elements of cooperation and techniques of enhancing them, specifically the locations of financial and cultural cooperation and elements that serve the interests of the two nations and individuals.
The session was chaired by Sayyid Badr and Mikhail Bogdanov. At the political level, the two sides exchanged views on a quantity of regional and international issues of common interest.
Earlier in the day, the Russian envoy visited Salalah Free Zone. ‘The visit of the Special Representative of the Russian President was to explore areas of economic cooperation. Ali Tabouk, CEO, Salalah Free Zone gave a presentation about the free zone and the incentives it offers to investors, in addition to a site visit to the free zone facilities,’ stated the organization.
