Oman celebrated the 2019 Safer Internet Day on Tuesday below the slogan ‘Together for a better internet’. The sultanate is celebrating with the rest of the globe the significance of this day, which falls on the initial Tuesday of February every year.
The Information Technology Authority, represented by Oman CERT, organised the ‘Challenge’ competitors as element of a kid on the internet protection programme targeting kids aged in between 12 and 18 years.
The competitors involved solving a series of puzzles in the field of details safety with the participation of ten teams from schools in the Governorate of Muscat.
A quantity of lectures and workshops will also be organised in some private schools to raise awareness relating to some elements of the good makes use of of the Internet and the greatest techniques to deal with IT crimes such as bullying and extortion.
