The conference was held beneath the auspices of H E Dr Ali bin Talib al Hinai, Undersecretary for Planning Affairs in the Ministry of Health. It was also attended by Saif al Busaidi, vice president of Human Resources, Admin & Corporate Social Responsibility at Occidental Oman.
The occasion featured an opening speech by Dr Amal al Hashmi, president of Oman Stroke Society, who spoke on the value of analysis and public awareness with regards to stroke care.
Following the speech, the conference featured panel sessions by nearby and international health-related professionals more than the two-day period, with discussions relating to advances in stroke prevention, new developments in technologies relating to stroke identification, as effectively as the newest health-related treatment options in stroke care.
The occasion was organised by the Oman Stroke Society, which operates beneath the umbrella of the Oman Medical Association and aims to produce a roadmap for enhancing stroke care in Oman.
