SQU, MoE sign cooperation programme

The cooperation programme is element of the efforts of the two parties in educating and deploying nicely-certified teachers in government and private schools supervised by the Ministry of Education.

The programme was signed by Dr Ali bin Saud al Bimani, vice chancellor of SQU, and H E Dr Saud bin Salim al Balushi, Undersecretary for Planning and Human Resources in the Ministry of Education, on Tuesday at SQU.

Dr Bimani and H E Dr Balushi also chaired the sixth meeting of the joint committee among SQU and the Ministry of Education on Tuesday. The committee discussed a number of subjects on the agenda of the meeting, which incorporated a proposed mechanism for the appointment of graduates of the early education programme.

The meeting discussed strategic study and curricular activities, as nicely as the project of building and standardising psychological and educational measures for Omani college students. It also regarded as the possibility of financing the project.

The meeting reviewed the possibility of adding teaching courses on extensive education in the College of Education and dealing with students with disabilities and unique wants.
