The MoU was signed by Prof Hamza Edrees, deputy vice chancellor, Sohar University, and Robin Chen, CEO, Huawei Oman.
According to the memorandum of understanding, Huawei will provide its instruction and certification programmes to SU via HAINA, although advertising SU as a instruction organisation for its students and client base for HAINA-primarily based programmes and chosen expert programmes.
Prof Edrees mentioned, “We are happy to partner with Huawei and work together on enhancing the ICT knowledge and skills of our students. I believe the HAINA programme will have a significant impact on the smart evolution of our society and country.”
Additionally, Huawei will offer Huawei Certification Academy Instructor (HCAI) instruction for expert instructors for each and every course path.
Prof Barry Winn, vice chancellor of Sohar University, Prof Ghassan, deputy vice chancellor of Sohar University also joined the signing ceremony.
Both parties will monitor the HAINA programme and provide ideas for continuous improvement, discover possibilities for alliances, and seek to address the ICT abilities specifications inside Oman’s ICT landscape. Chen mentioned, “We are satisfied to roll out our ICT academy programme in Oman in partnership with a top educational institution such as Sohar University.
“The Huawei academy will equip Omani youth with the necessary ICT skills and support digital transformation in the sultanate.”
