Organised by the Ministry of Education (MoE), the concentrate of this year’s event will be on industrial revolution, and it will also discuss innovations in robotics.
In an interaction with media personnel, H E Saud al Balushi, Undersecretary for Educational Planning and Human Resources Development, in MoE, mentioned the present and future life revolves about science and it is time for the nation to appear into the field deeply. Oman Science Festival will also see the participation of civil society institutions such as ministries as effectively as schools and other academic establishments.
“Oman Science Festival is an opportunity for university and school students to showcase their innovative ideas with members of scientific communities and all those involved in sciences. This time, different branches of the military will also participate in the event who will also display the scientific aspects related to their area of speciality,” H E Balushi mentioned.
In addition, H E Balushi mentioned there will also be participants from outdoors Oman, and that MoE is negotiating with NASA (America’s space agency) and CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) to attend.
“We have also invited astronauts and scientists from all over the region,” he mentioned.
The event will consist of interactive workshops, plays, scientific experiments, lectures and seminars, competitions, and scientific films. This year’s edition will also consist of aviation, power and telecommunications, military technologies, atmosphere and wellness, amongst other individuals.
