Schools, colleges in Oman to remain closed on April 14

The ministries of Education and Higher Education announced on Saturday that all private and government schools and colleges will be closed due to the inclement climate situations anticipated in the subsequent 24 hours.

The choice was taken following warnings have been issued by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) that the climate might take a turn for the worse in the subsequent 24 hours.

The Sultan Qaboos University, Sohar and Nizwa universities and all Colleges of Applied Sciences will be closed on Sunday.

The choice applies to Colleges of Applied Sciences and Rustaq College of Education. “In order to make certain the security of our students, the ministry announces the suspension of classes tomorrow Sunday, April 14, 2019, for students in all colleges of applied science and the College Education in Rustaq, with the exception of Salalah college. The study in colleges will resume from Monday (April 15).”
