The ‘Man, Patterns and Colours Exhibition’ of Omani artist Radhika Hamlai was opened on Tuesday at the National Museum, below the patronage of H H Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd al Said, Assistant Secretary General of the Deputy Prime Minister’s workplace for Cabinet Affairs.
Sayyid Kamil mentioned the exhibition was distinctive, as the artist had adopted a various way of mixing knitting and carpet creating, which resulted in an impressive artistic perform approaching the textile industries for which the sultanate is well-known.
“We hope that this art will be of interest to other Omani artists to create new things that belong to our heritage,” he mentioned.
Jamal bin Hassan al Mousawi, director common of the National Museum, mentioned that the exhibition was component of a series of exhibitions hosted by the museum, which highlight the modern and contemporary Omani art.
