H H Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, on Monday reviewed the outputs of the ICT laboratory and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It was organised by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Information Technology Authority (ITA) in cooperation with the Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit at the Oil and Gas Institute.
A quantity of governmental and private institutions and representatives of civil society participated in the occasion in order to come up with initiatives and projects that contribute to reaching the strategic directions that have been created for the sector inside the sultanate’s program to market financial diversification.
During the discussions, the participants in the lab analysed the reality of the sector, identified the possibilities, capabilities, accessible investment possibilities, the challenges facing the sector, place options and proposals to overcome these challenges and accomplish the preferred final results of the establishment of the laboratory.
Present on the occasion had been H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salim al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications, chairman of ITA Board of Directors, Dr Khamis bin Saif al Jabri, head of Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit, H H Sayyid Kamil bin Fahad al Said, chairman of Oman Information Technology and Communications Group, and Dr Salim bin Sultan al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA.
