Muscat National Development and Investment Company (ASAAS) opened its first hospitality mission Hilton Garden Inn in Al Khuwayr at a value of RO16.7mn. The opening of the resort was patronised by H E Mohsin bin Mohammed al Sheikh, chairman of Muscat Municipality, within the presence of H E Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism.
H E Sheikh mentioned, “This project is the result of cooperation between Muscat Municipality and ASAAS. The project will be an important addition to the tourism sector in the sultanate and will serve all segments of society.”
The seven-storeyed resort contains 232 rooms and a 10,000sq m public park with inexperienced areas, leisure services and a tennis courtroom.
“The project aims at increasing the contribution of the sultanate’s economic revenues to the non-oil sectors and enhancing the concept of partnership between the public and private sectors in order to find options that serve the tourism sector and meet the needs of visitors, citizens, and residents,” mentioned Khalid bin Hilal al Yahmadi, CEO of ASAAS.
