Ahmad Ali Afani, immigration counsellor, Embassy of Pakistan, graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Muhammad Zia ul Haq Siddiqui, chairman, Steering Committee, accompanied by Moen Nawaz, member, Steering Committee, and Nasir Nawaz, principal, PSM, received the guests. In addition, embassy officials, dignitaries, parents, students and a big gathering of neighborhood members attended the occasion.
Adding colour to the occasion as unique guests had been ex-students of Pakistan School Muscat and a renowned star of Pakistan media, Television and film star Ali Safina, and his wife, style icon Hira Tareen.
PSM principal Nasir Nawaz welcomed the guests and expressed his gratitude. “Our innate love for our beloved country, Pakistan needs to be replenished and sprouted. We should never be oblivious to the fact that faith is our guarantor, unity holds our survival and in discipline lies our well-being as a nation,” mentioned Nawaz.
The ceremony began with the recitation from Q’uran by Ahmad Raza. The programme continued with thrilling voices of Sabir and Humaira Chaudry as lead persons. A unique prayer for the perpetual effectively-becoming of the homeland as effectively as the enduring ties among Pakistan and the sultanate was held.
The chairman welcomed all the guests and appreciated their presence on the national occasion.
