PACDA sets up posts, helpline numbers for Dhofar visitors

The authority also announced phone numbers of the short-term posts exactly where its teams are on duty so that motorists can very easily get in touch with them in any emergency. Those posts are in Al Hamra al Duroo, Al Ghaba, Al Ghaftin, Qatbaib and Seih al Khairat. PACDA also has offices in Nizwa, Ibri, Adam, Haima, Thumrait, Al Saadah, Awqad and Taqah.

Meanwhile, H E Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, held a meeting with government and private authorities concerned with the reception of visitors and vacationers in the course of Salalah tourist season to figure out the readiness of wellness solutions, accommodation, electrical energy and numerous solutions necessary by the visitors.

The annual statistical survey of the khareef season, which officially started on June 21, shows that more than 35,000 folks have currently visited Dhofar.

According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information, the total quantity of visitors to Salalah till 1pm on July 7 stood at 35,283. The highest quantity of visitors had been Omanis (14,754), followed by Asians (six,712) and GCC citizens. Among the GCC visitors, Saudis had been the biggest group of travellers (three,728), followed by Emiratis (two,183), Kuwaitis (558), Qataris (680) and Bahrainis (502).
