Over 18% jump in allotment of residential plots in 2018

Among numerous governorates, residential plot allotment was the highest in the Governorate of Dakhliyah, with about 9,037 plots allotted throughout the January-December period of 2018, up by 9.1 per cent compared to the exact same period of 2017. Residential plot allotment was the lowest in the Governorate of Musandam, with just 15 plots allotted throughout the 12-month period of 2018, a decline of 98.78 per cent more than the exact same period final year.

Dhahirah witnessed a phenomenal development of 212.43 per cent in plot allotment, at six,005 plots. In addition, plot allotments also rose by 28.83 per cent and 71.57 per cent to three,856 plots and five,859 plots in South and North Sharqiyah, respectively.

Meanwhile, plot allotments in Muscat, South Batinah, Buraimi and Al Wusta fell by three.22 per cent, five.15 per cent, 46.94 per cent and 30.53 per cent to two,979 plots, five,692 plots, 624 plots and 726 plots, respectively, throughout the period below evaluation. Residential plot allotments rose by two.89 per cent in Dhofar (1,138) and 7.94 per cent in North Batinah (802) till the finish of December 2018 compared to final year.
