Oman’s delegation is getting headed by H E Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Planning with the participation of members of the National Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, the representatives of public and private organisations in the connected region, academic institutions and non-government organisations.
The forum critiques the initial voluntary report on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030. H E Dr Sunaidy and the Omani delegation visited the exhibition accompanying the sultanate’s participation in the forum. They have been briefed on the publications specially ready for this forum.
The exhibition, which is part of the sultanate’s participation in the forum, sees numerous government agencies highlighting the sultanate’s efforts to accomplish SDGs, specifically on human empowerment, creating a competitive economy, environmental stability and peace as a pillar of sustainability.
The forum is a crucial mechanism in the UN method for accountability, adhere to-up and evaluation of the 2030 Plan for Sustainable Development and its objectives at the international level.
H E Dr Sunaidy meets World Bank VP
H E Dr Sunaidy met on Wednesday Mahmoud Mohieldin, Vice President of the World Bank for Sustainable Development 2030, on the sidelines of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
During the meeting, they discussed enhancing the locations of cooperation connected to the implementation of sustainable development 2030 objectives which aim to supply new job possibilities in the upcoming financial projects in the sultanate.
Meeting held with NUSACC businessmen
The sultanate’s delegation beneath the chairmanship of H E Dr Sunaidy held a meeting with a delegation of businessmen representing the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC). During the meeting, H E Dr Sunaidy stressed on much more financial and trade relations among Oman and the US.
He mentioned that this meeting with private sector representatives from the US side contributes in pushing mechanisms of cooperation among the two friendly nations in all fields, specifically in the technological region.
