No normalisation of relations with Israel: H E Alawi

H E Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, has mentioned there is no normalisation of relations with Israel, and Oman continues to assistance the Palestinian side on its state demand.

In a statement on its Twitter account on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) mentioned that H E Alawi spoke to the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on a wide variety of concerns in Moscow.

Quoting H E Alawi, MoFA stated, “We support the two-state solution to settle the Palestinian issue. We have not negotiated with Israel on behalf of any party. We value the Russian role in solving the Syrian crisis.”

Addressing a press conference with H E Alawi, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov mentioned, “Russia and Oman have supported dialogue between the conflicting Yemeni parties and call for a cessation of violence and continued negotiations.”
