The transactions consisted of new registrations, renewals, modifications, cancellations and addition of activities and adjustments in industrial names, industrial and private import permits, certificates of origin and industrial agencies.
The improve in the quantity of transactions was due to investors’ interest in making use of private electronic solutions. The electronic portal has helped in the speedy processing of applications. It has clarity in the procedures and saves time and work.
The ministry stated that 39,943 transactions had been completed in Muscat governorate final year, compared to 15,587 transactions in the course of 2017. In North Batinah, 81,494 transactions had been completed compared to 25,884 in 2017. There had been 20,337 transactions completed in Buraimi governorate compared to 18,143 transactions in 2017. In Dhahirah, there had been 50,094 final year compared to 19,255 in 2017. South Sharqiyah recorded 21,358 transactions in 2018 compared to 16,820 in 2017.
In Dakhliyah governorate there had been 40,151 transactions in 2018 compared to 17,159 in the prior year. Dhofar recorded 29,814 transactions compared to 9,682 recorded in 2017.
