H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health, signed the message of goodwill although Dr Svetlana Akselrod, WHO partnership director for Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health, signed it on behalf of Dr Zsuzsanna Jakab, WHO deputy director common.
The pact was signed when H E Dr Sae’edi received Dr Svetlana, at present going to Oman. During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of frequent concern relating to the cooperation among the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization in different wellness fields and methods of creating them.
The two sides also reviewed the shared preparations among MoH and WHO on hosting the Second Scientific Meeting of National Directors & Program Managers of Noncommunicable Diseases, as nicely as the Second Global Partners Forum on Noncommunicable Diseases Prevention & Control to be held in the sultanate in December.
On her component, the WHO partnership director thanked and praised the sultanate’s concern and continuing cooperation for the achievement of WHO’s programmes.
The minister also welcomed the choice of the sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health, to host this international occasion, stressing that the nation will exert each and every efforts to make sure the achievement of the occasion.
The meeting was attended by H E Dr Ali bin Talib al Hinai, MoH Undersecretary for Planning Affairs, along with Dr Akjimal Magtimova, WHO representative to the sultanate, and a quantity of senior officials.
