Message of Islam Exhibition to tour Oman for five years

As component of this, the initial exhibition was held in the wilayat of Nakhal in South Batinah from March four-9. The programme is becoming organised by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MARA) in cooperation with the Fakhr al Watan voluntary team.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Eng Mariam Said al Amri, director of Message of Islam Exhibition in Oman and vice president of Fakhr al Watan voluntary team, mentioned, “It was the Fakhr al Watan team that presented the idea of organising the Message of Islam Exhibition in castles and forts in the various governorates of the sultanate. MARA welcomed the idea and took over the management of the project in cooperation with the team. The first exhibition was held at Nakhal Fort for six days.”

Highlighting the message of peaceful co-existence, Eng Mariam mentioned, “More than 7,000 visitors of different nationalities attended the exhibition in Nakhal. The exhibition included an operetta, Message of Islam and calligraphy works. We also launched #actforTolerance through social media such as Twitter and Facebook.”

On how the events of the exhibition will be spread via the 5 years Mariam mentioned, “Exhibitions as part of the programme will be held for five years in different governorates of the sultanate. We will organise four exhibitions each year and plan to hold an exhibition each in every wilayat of the sultanate. “I wish companies and institutions support such national events to spread the message of tolerance.”
