The sultanate will be impacted by a trough of low stress beginning from Wednesday till Thursday with isolated rains more than the governorates of Musandam, Buraimi, Dhahirah and North Batinah, the Met division stated.
“We expect some rains starting from Wednesday in different parts of the sultanate. Rains will be in Musandam, Buraimi, Dhahirah, North Batinah,” it tweeted.
On Tuesday, the northern governorates will see clear to partly cloudy skies and mostly clear skies more than the rest of the sultanate with likelihood of dust increasing more than the desert and open places. There are also probabilities of late evening to early morning low level clouds along the coasts, the Met mentioned.
On Monday, the sultanate witnessed heavy rains in the numerous wilayats of Buraimi and Dhahirah.
Jason Nicholls, senior meteorologist and international forecasting manager at AccuWeather, stated that a storm will continue to generate rain, mountain snow and thunderstorms from east Turkey and Syria to Iran into Tuesday. “Showers and storms will be in central Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar on Tuesday. Spottier rains possible in south Saudi Arabia, the UAE and parts of Oman on Wednesday and into Thursday.”
