ITA organises kids innovation programme

Muscat – 

 In collaboration with businesses and government entities, ITA is organising the fourth edition of summer season programme recognized as IT Kids Innovation Theatre (IT KIT), in Muscat, Salalah, Sur and Al Kamil W’Al Wafi. 

IT KIT targets Omani youngsters among nine and 12 years old who are familiar with some simple IT expertise such as utilizing computer systems, operating programmes, and some simple applications. The quantity of youngsters participating in this edition of the programme reached 174.

Of these, 46 will total their coaching in the wilayats of Sur and Al Kamil W’Al Wafi. The subsequent phase of the programme will commence as 48 youngsters will be educated in Muscat and 80 in Salalah this month. The programme aims at building children’s understanding and skills in IT, encouraging them to utilise their IT understanding and imagination to generate inventive solutions and items, and qualifying and empowering them to be IT entrepreneurs in the future.

The programme focuses on 3 primary places: Programming, Robotics, and Innovation. It consists of a set of activities such as workshops, project organizing and show, and private expertise enhancement. ITA is organising the programme in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, represented in the robots’ centres in Sur, Al Kamil W’Al Wafi as nicely as with Middle East College. It is supported by Oman LNG, Octal, Al Faker Institution, and the Public Authority for Civil Aviation – Salalah.
