Muscat –
Several components of Oman such as Muscat are most likely to get isolated moderate rains in the subsequent 24 hours. However, the northern element of the nation is most likely to get heavy rains. This is due to the trough of low stress more than the area.
An official from the Directorate General of Meteorology mentioned, “Rainfall during this season is usual and is a sign of winter fading away.”
The official added that Musandam and other governorates as well are most likely to get moderate to heavy rains on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“Rain is likely to reduce the temperature by around two degrees. The sea will be rough during these days and so fishermen and sailors have been warned against venturing out,” the official mentioned. According to the Met division, a number of locations in the nation received rainfall on Sunday. The highest was recorded in Buraimi (five.22mm) followed by Mahdah (4mm), Khabourah (two.6mm), Madha (two.4mm), Shinas (two.4mm), Liwa (1.8mm), Dibba (1.4mm), Sohar (1.2mm) and Khasab airport (1mm).
