The competitors is 1 of the most sought-following karting race events in the area and demands intense mental and physical stamina. The nine year old from Indian School Bausher, who has been into karting for the final two years, is participating in the beneath-10 category.
Eleven participants from about the planet which includes Europe, Asia and the GCC will be participating. Shivali bagged the third Challenger award final year at the exact same event.
Speaking about the race, her father Amit Sinha who functions with Orpic, stated, “Shivali is going to compete at the UAE Rotax Max championship in Micromax category. This is UAE Rotax Max 2019-20 session which will witness a total of eight races that will be taking place in Dubai kartdrome, Yas Marina Circuit, after which the winner shall get a chance to go to the World championship.”
Sinha added that karting is an pricey sport and he has been supporting his daughter’s talent single-handedly.
He spends most of his salary on her pricey gears which includes dress, helmet, tyres and other accessories.
“Expenses are extremely high for maintaining her karts, coaches and participation in competition. The sport demands mental and physical strength in addition to technical support. We are thankful to Oman Automobile Association (OAA) for their continuous support,” he stated.
The nine year old’s inspiration has often been Lewis Hamilton and she desires to compete in Formula 1 in future.
She has been instruction beneath her coach Sanad al Rawahi, who himself was the winner of UAE Rotax Max Championship.
Rawahi is getting supported by OAA and Birel Art team. Shivali is getting supported by her OAA mechanic Sonny Ericson Lozano, Raven Ablos, Rogor Gungco and Chrith Nadee Perara.
Rawahi stated, “I have been training the girl for the last one year and I find her focussed and clear in her thoughts. She has a strong nerve and I am confident she will bring laurels to the country.”
