His Majesty the Sultan issues three Royal Decrees

His Majesty the Sultan concerns 3 Royal Decrees

Royal Decree 23/2019
promulgates the Selective Tax Law following the statute has been presented just before the Council of Oman.

Article 1
states that the Selective Tax Law attached to this Decree will be enforced.

Article two
states that the Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs shall concern the Executive Regulation of the attached law inside a period not exceeding six months from its date of enforcement.

Article three
cancels all that contravenes the attached law or contradicts its provisions.

Article four
states that this Decree will be published in the official gazette and enforced on the day following the passing of 90 days from its date of publishing.

Royal Decree 24/2019 on the establishment of a Food Safety and Quality Centre in the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources.

Article 1
establishes in the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources a centre to be named ‘Food Safety and Quality Centre’ at a level of directorate common. The centre’s specialisations and its affiliation will be defined beneath a choice of the Minister of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources.

Article two
stipulates that specialisations associated to meals security and meals top quality, as stated in the laws, Royal Decrees and present regulations, will be transferred to the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources. The Minister of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources will take more than the specialisations prescribed to heads of departments specialised in laws, Royal Decrees and regulations associated to meals security and meals top quality.

Article three
states that workers whose function relates to meals security and meals top quality in the specialised departments concerned will be transferred, along with their job status, to the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, according to this ministry’s requirements.
It also states that all allocations, assets, rights and obligations associated to meals security and meals top quality will be transferred to the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources from the specialised departments concerned, supplied the mechanism of transfer is determined in coordination in between the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources and heads of the specialised departments inside a period of six months from the date of concern of this Decree.

Article four
cancels all that contravenes this Decree or contradicts its provisions.

Article five
states that this Decree will be published in the official gazette and enforced on its date of concern.

Royal Decree 25/2019
appoints a non-resident ambassador for the Sultanate.

Article 1
states that Ali bin Abdullah bin Salim al Mahrouqi, Oman’s Ambassador to Tanzania, will be appointed as the Sultanate’s Non-resident Ambassador to Comoros, Zambia and Burundi.
Article two
states that this Decree will be published in the official gazette and enforced on its date of concern.
