One of the oldest landmarks in the city, Hotel Golden Tulip Seeb, will be demolished, providing way to a contemporary mixed-use house and headquarters of the Oman Aviation Group (OAG).
Established in 1984, the hotel featuring 177 rooms which includes six suites, has been the prominent landmark in Seeb for more than 3 decades. The hotel is taking bookings till April 17, with the final functioning day getting April 18.
OAG issued a tender for demolition function of the hotel, for which interested businesses can purchase the documents till February 25. The final date for submission of the document is March 14. OAG revealed final year that the program was to construct its headquarters along with supporting facilities at the web site.
Established subsequent to the Oman International Exhibition Centre at Airport Heights, the hotel had for years functioned as a hub for organizations as effectively as vacationers, simply because of its proximity to the Muscat’s primary exhibition centre, exactly where all best exhibitions had been held till the contemporary Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre took more than.
