At the event acclaimed neighborhood and worldwide meals safety experts, such as senior speakers from Muscat Municipality, will address an audience of policymakers, regulators, meals retailers, meals producers, meals handlers, meals service providers, distributors, companies, top quality and compliance officers, and other experts from the meals market.
The conference will be highlighted by an opening keynote address by a government representative, presentations, case research, and interactive panel sessions that will supply useful insights on requirements and regulations, emerging trends, innovations and technologies, meals safety and top quality in provide chain, meals safety audits, and meals safety operations in meals processing, handling and distribution.
A timely and advantageous platform, it comes on the heels of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) current announcement of enforcing stricter meals safety regulations and larger fines for violations in its new Food Safety Law. On the worldwide front, the World Health Organization has strengthened its efforts to make certain meals safety worldwide, underlining its ramifications on ‘food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism and sustainable development’.
Ammar Ahmad, exhibition director, Food and Hospitality Oman, mentioned, “Food safety is increasingly becoming a major concern in Oman due to the rising number of food-borne health cases in recent years.”
He added, “We aim to help improve Oman’s food safety culture, provide a means to proper and direct information about food safety standards and best practices, and offer an avenue to meet and interact with key industry players and experts.”
