Exhibition gives a sneak peek into Oman’s fascinating wildlife

An exhibition showcasing the beauty of Omani wildlife is below way at the Photographic Society of Oman. The exhibition opened below the patronage of H E Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour al Hasani, Minister of Information, on Sunday.

The exhibition has on show 68 photos by 39 photographers. Of these 5 photographs have been shot by non-Omani photographers residing in the sultanate. The photographs have captured the pulse of Omani wildlife from each corner – from the stunning shores of Musandam to  Dhofar.

As element of the exhibition, a book on Omani Wildlife also will be unveiled. The book is a collaborative function of 60 photographers. The 220-web page book, with 150 fascinating creatures, is a dependable scientific reference to document the beauty of Oman’s biodiversity. It consists of a chapter every on birds, wild animals, reptiles, marine animals and insects.

The exhibition is open till March 16.
