A delegation from the British House of Lords led by Lord Geoffrey James Dear, deputy speaker of the House of Lords, was received at the Muscat International Airport on Saturday by Hon Nada Hassan Mohammed al Jamali and Hon Saleh Zakwani, members of the State Council.
The pay a visit to comes inside the framework of strengthening bilateral relations among the friendly nations and creating cooperation among the two councils. The British delegation contains Baroness Frances Gertrude, Lord Igor Judge, Baroness Simone Jari Finn, Lord Navnit Dholakia and vice president of the British Omani Society Richard Muir.
The programme of the pay a visit to contains meetings with a quantity of officials, dialogues and discussions with honourable members of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura on different elements of joint cooperation among the two councils and their legislative and supervisory perform.
The programme also contains going to some cultural and historical landmarks in the sultanate.
