“Muscat Festival will showcase the work of international and local sculptors. The last days of the Oman International Sculptor Symposium will be at the festival venue on February 7, 8,” an official with Sohart House, the organisers of the symposium, stated.
The artists who will be participating consist of the renowned José Carlos Cabello from Spain, Abdul Karim al Rawahi and Yusuf al Rawahi from Oman, Ana Maria Negara from Romania, Renato Brunello and Stefano Sabetta from Italy.
“We will have 4 international and two nearby sculptors who will be exhibiting their functions in wood and marble. Five artworks will be in marble only. Our aim is to increase the artistic movement in the sultanate.
It will also be a likelihood to not just exchange knowledge in the field but also strengthen bonds in between the sultanate’s sculptors and these from abroad,” he stated adding, “Muscat Festival has a huge footfall and this is the best opportunity to count on.
