The ceremony will be patronised by H E Eng Mohsin bin Mohammed al Sheikh, chairman of Muscat Municipality, in the presence of representatives of Al Tasnim Enterprises which has constructed the walkway.
Some officials in the wilayat also will attend the ceremony.
The walkway seeks to encourage residents to engage in walking and cycling activities to enhance wellness and fitness.
Building a walkway in Amerat was mooted as the wilayat has no beaches like most other wilayats.
The 1,700m lengthy and 4m wide walkway has separate tracks for walking and cycling. It is produced utilizing a robust concrete base that can resist water erosion. The municipality has installed 59 lighting poles also.
The opening ceremony will contain a speech by Eng Issa al Riyami, director basic of Muscat Municipality in Amerat, followed by a felicitation ceremony.
Al Tasnim Enterprises has completed the Amerat walkway project with optimal and greatest requirements, a municipality official stated.
