The race’s swimming stage will commence at 6am at the Qurm beach from behind Intercontinental Muscat which will consist of a swimming course that is 1.9km extended, taking the athletes via warm waters of the Sea of Oman, which will take them to the transaction zone connecting the swimming course to the bike course.
The bike course will take the participating athletes via a 90km extended bike course passing via some of Muscat’s landmarks, which includes Muttrah Gate, Muttrah Corniche, Muscat Gate, Al Alam Palace, Marina Bandar al Rowdha, and the Royal Opera House Muscat.
The third and final course of the race, will stretch for a 21.1km extended course which will commence at Qurm beach and finish at the finishing line situated inside the Qurum Natural Park.
The Ironman 70.three Muscat, Oman race aims at raising awareness concerning the triathlon sport across the Sultanate of Oman and to serve the organising company’s – TriMe Middle East – vision of adding Oman on the international map as an international sporting events location.
