The Sultan Qaboos Award for Industrial Excellence is organised each two years to recognise contributions to the improvement of Omani market. The existing edition incorporated 19 industrial establishments.
The evaluation of industrial establishments focused on a variety of criteria, such as leadership, production procedure, manufacturing procedure, client connection, employee security and the perform atmosphere, contribution to social duty and innovation in manufacturing processes, industrial and monetary overall performance of the plant and advertising of the item.
Oman Fibre Optic Company won the Sultan Qaboos Award for Industrial Excellence 2017-18 for the category of organizations with sales of RO10mn.
Oman Flour Mills won in the category of organizations whose sales variety among RO10mn and RO50mn whilst Oman Cement Company won the award for the category of organizations with sales exceeding RO50mn.
Jindal Steel and Power Company won the award for the most revolutionary organizations category.
The Minister of Education mentioned that Omani industrial enterprises have received excellent focus from the government.
The Sultan Qaboos Award for Industrial Excellence comes as a tribute to industrial facilities, which proved their capacity to compete in nearby, regional and international markets, which reflect the efficiency of the Omani industrial sector.
The ceremony was attended by their highnesses, ministers, undersecretaries, members of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura and officials concerned with the industrial sector in the public and private sectors, industrialists and businesspersons.
