Winners of Sas48H contest announced

‘Zafafee’ app, which provides solutions for wedding celebrations, pocketed the very first prize of RO3,000 in the Sas48H contest organised by the Sas Center for Entrepreneurship at Information Technology Authority (ITA).

The competitors, organised in cooperation with Bank Muscat, witnessed 120 participants divided into 19 teams who worked on inventive tips in mobile app and net improvement field in 48 hours.

H E Eng Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and deputy chairman of ITA’s Board of Directors, presided more than the concluding ceremony in the presence of Dr Salim bin Sultan al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA, Waleed al Hashar, deputy CEO of Bank Muscat, and a quantity of ITA and Bank Muscat management team members.

After the demo show of created projects, the jury committee announced the winners. Zafafee app provides solutions for wedding celebrations such as details about nearest beauty centres, henna and dress designers and meals catering. The second prize of RO2,000 went to ‘Tawleefah’ app, which is a platform gathering numerous service providers for every day needs exactly where customers can attain them beneath 1 roof. The third prize of RO1,000 was won by ‘Bitter Twitter’ app which provides details and evaluation about the reputation of organisations primarily based on user evaluations and comments on social media channels.

The contest was held at the Bank Muscat head workplace.
