United Nations Environment Programme describes Oman as distinctive spot recognized for its diverse all-natural habitat

In a report, United Nations Environment Programme stated that Oman is a single the most richest nations in diversity in West Asia, as it has mountain ranges, wadis, plains, cliffs, rocky hills and coastal places. It is also house to each green and red turtles, sharks, dolphins, whales and birds of prey such as the Egyptian eagle and the golden eagle.

The report also stated that Oman has 99 distinct varieties of mammals, such as the endangered species such as the Arabian tahr, Arabian oryx, Arabian leopard, red fox, gazelles and rabbits that reside in the valleys and mountains. While in the Governorate of Dhofar, you might locate wolves, rodents, the blue lizard, water snakes, Arabian toads and bats that reside in the caves.

The report also pointed out that the Ras al Hadd, Ras al Jinz and Masirah Island nature reserve is deemed to be a single of the biggest nesting grounds for the green turtles, with a lot more than three,000 turtles. The report also talked about that the Governorate of Dhofar is a single the most visited tourist attractions on the Arabian Peninsula, due to its breathtaking all-natural scenery, in addition to its wide variety of tropical fruits, such as bananas, coconuts and sugarcane. The governorate is also recognized for frankincense trees that create the highest top quality of frankincense in the globe.

The report also stated that Oman includes a wide variety of flowers, and the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta are recognized to be amongst the leading 35 destinations with a big selection of flowers.
