It was titled, ‘Capacity building for employees working at Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development sections in Oman’s governorates and analysing social and legal instances connected to females and offering appropriate programmes’.
The workshop was attended by officials from MoSD led by Jamila Jadad, director of the Women’s Affairs Department.
The opening speeches have been offered by H E Dr Yehia bin Badr bin Malek al Mewali, Undersecretary in the ministry, and Asr Ahmed Toson, UNFPA GCC representative, Sultanate of Oman.
Toson mentioned the workshop was a reflection of the policy of the government in Oman which pays interest to women’s part and supporting their activities in all locations of life.
“The government conducts several programmes focusing on developing women’s status and advancing their skills to be effective citizens,” he mentioned.
