Top armed forces officials go to military exercises’ joint command centre

Muscat – 

Lt Gen Ahmed bin Harith bin Nasser al Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), accompanied by Air Vice Marshal Matar bin Ali al Obaidani, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman, and Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Ra’eesi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), along with senior officers visited the leaders involved in Al Shomoukh two and Swift Sword three workouts at their joint command centre.

The team was presented a extensive summary of the sequence of events and scenarios simulated throughout the workouts.

They praised the efforts of the leaders and different departments involved in the workouts, and their understanding of the significance and rewards of the joint action.

RNO’s strategic function

Meanwhile, RNO affirmed that its fleet taking component in the Al Shomoukh two and Swift Sword three workouts has military, technical and technological capabilities to play its function to program and serve the joint military operations.

RNO pointed out that all participating crew, weapons and maritime gear teams continue carrying out the relevant plans in the maritime places specified for them.

RNO noted that it has initiated the procedures for their readiness by transport-ing the participating commands and maritime teams with their complete military gear, vessels and automobiles to their assigned positions. Deployment of commands and field units in their assigned positions is carried out alongside SAF and other military, safety and civil organisations taking component in the workouts.
