The sultanate, represented by The Research Council (TRC) and the National Competitiveness Office, participated in the 2018 GFCC Annual Meeting and Global Innovation Summit, held not too long ago in Argentina.
Among the keynote speakers at the summit was Dr Saif bin Abdullah al Hiddabi, assistant secretary basic for Research and Scientific Programmes at TRC, who presented a paper on the geography of innovation and the effect of the surrounding atmosphere on the speed of innovation development, stated a press release.
Dr Hiddabi shed light on the part that the sultanate’s geography had on the improvement of falaj program, mining business, ship producing and navigation sciences in Oman.
Dr Hiddabi also proposed the improvement of an electronic platform for sharing info on the experiences of the distinct nations with regard to the improvement of their innovation competitiveness levels.
Dr Sharifa Harthiya, director of the National Innovation Strategy at TRC, participated in the discussions and presented the sultanate’s financial, social and geographical constituents and the part of the method in enhancing competitiveness.
