Sultanate requires component in eighth Arab Health Summit in the US

The 4-day summit has gathered a wide variety of representatives from the Middle East and North African nations which includes scholars, wellness leaders, experts, policy makers, health-related providers, public wellness experts, academics, epidemiologists, and mental wellness experts.

Representatives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, and the World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Office, are amongst the participants.

The summit aims to engage in a productive dialogue about education and study, public wellness programmes, healthcare, capacity creating and neighborhood engagement.

During the opening ceremony, H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health, gave a speech about the effect of worldwide connections produced by means of study.

Members of the sultanate’s delegation participated in scientific sessions, addressing a substantial lack of information and study on Arabs and Arab Americans.

The summit is the only gathering in the US that especially aims to improve understanding of the cultural and social aspects that influence relevant wellness behaviours of Arab communities, which includes their physical and mental wellness situations.

ACCESS is the biggest Arab American non-profit organisation in the US.

Furthermore, the Arab Health Summit is a tradition that was established by ACCESS in 1998.

The sultanate effectively hosted the ACCESS summit at its seventh session in 2015 with a wide participation from about the planet.
