The nation celebrates Omani Industry Day on February 9 each and every year which commemorates the pay a visit to of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to Rusayl Industrial Estate in 1991.
The 2017-18 winners along with the winners of the earlier editions will be honoured in the course of an occasion to be held at Sheraton Oman Hotel on February 11.
Dr Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry will grace the occasion.
He will meet industrialists to talk about the challenges they are facing and the want to improve the contribution of the industrial sector to the GDP to augment financial development and improvement. The manufacturing sector is a single of the concentrate locations of the national financial diversification programme, Tanfeedh.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has also allocated an award for the most revolutionary factory.
A preparatory seminar will be held on Thursday at Sheraton Oman Hotel below the auspices of Eng Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Undersecretary in MoCI.
