Dr Suad Mohamed Ali Sulaiman al Lawati, State Council vice chairperson received on Tuesday, a European Union delegation, led by Roberto Storaci, chairman of the European Union Working Group of the Middle East and the Gulf.
Dr Suad welcomed the delegation and expressed hope that its pay a visit to to the sultanate would be productive, stated a press release.
During the meeting, she briefed the delegation about the State Council, its powers and responsibilities. She reviewed the stages of the Omani Shura march in order to market well-liked participation in selection-creating and adoption of greatest parliamentary practices to contribute to this finish.
Dr Suad explained the achievements of Omani females in scientific and sensible fields, pointing out in this regard the active function played by females in the State Council in specific, and parliamentary function in basic with the supreme help of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
The meeting reviewed locations of cooperation and problems of mutual interest.
The chairman of the Middle East and Gulf Working Group of the European Union expressed his happiness on going to the sultanate.
He also expressed his pleasure to pay a visit to the State Council and get acquainted with its functioning.
The 26-member delegation toured the council developing and was briefed about its facilities.
