The Social committee of the State Council at its sixth meeting for the third annual session of the sixth period, chaired by H E Dr Hamad bin Sulaiman al Salami, hosted Ministry of Education (MoE) officials as part of its study entitled, ‘Protecting children from accidents’.

State Council committee hosts MoE officials for discussions on accidents involving youngsters

The committee discussed with the ministry officials a quantity of subjects, which includes the elements that lead to accidents, programmes accessible to shield youngsters from accidents, their effectiveness, specifically in the places of awareness and lowering the elements that pose a danger to youngsters, stated a press release.

In addition, it discussed about the coordination in between numerous entities to curtail youngster accidents, and the procedures and proposals that could contribute to lowering such incidents, which includes the modernisation of laws and legislation, the improvement of residential organizing, and other measures.

The ministry delegation incorporated Ali bin Jabir bin Ali al Dhahli, director basic of Educational Programmes, Fatima bint Abdul Abbas bin Mohammed al Noorani, director basic of Private Schools, Radia bint Sulaiman bin Nasser al Habsi, assistant director of Counselling and Awareness Programmes, Ahmed bin Ismail al Balushi, head of Health Awareness Department, and Talal bin Saeed al Manthri, head of Student Affairs, Supervision and Evaluation Department.
