The new seasonal flights from Muscat will commence on May 15 to facilitate umrah in the course of Ramadan with ticket fares beginning from RO99 (return).
Guests can now book straight on www.SalamAir.com, stated a press release.
“Our aim is to make travelling for umrah easier, convenient and more affordable for our guests,” stated Capt Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir.
“Despite its strategic location, pleasant weather and spiritual importance due to its close proximity to the Holy Mosque, Taif as a destination, has never been connected to Muscat. Its modern and efficient terminal is highly appreciated and preferred by the travellers and as a result, we have worked with the authorities to ensure that we cater to it during the holy month of Ramadan,” Capt Ahmed added.
SalamAir has cautiously selected the timings of its flights to and from Taif to accommodate its fasting guests in the course of the holy month.
Flying thrice weekly, the flights from Muscat International Airport will depart at 11pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Taif at 1.20am.
Return flights from Taif are scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing at two.10am and arriving in Muscat at six.35am.
Saudi Arabia has been a important industry for SalamAir because inception.
