The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) on Monday conducted the Muharib al Jabal 2018
exercise, in cooperation with the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and units from the French Armed Forces, in the Rabkoot location of Dhofar.
The workout saw participation of personnel from the South of Oman Regiment, the Sultan of Oman Artillery, the Sultan of Oman Parachute and the Armed Forces Medical Services, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The workout was held beneath the patronage of Maj Gen Mattar bin Salim al Balushi, commander of RAO.
The workout took location as per the ready plans and instruction objectives for the participating forces. Participants showed a higher level of efficiency throughout the workout.
MoD mentioned that the workout reflected the higher level of professionalism displayed by RAO personnel in terms of competence and skills.
The ministry mentioned these workout routines come as component of the instruction plans ready by the Royal Army of Oman to preserve combat readiness at all levels.
The workout was attended by higher-ranking officers and officers of RAO along with French Armed Forces officials and the military attaché at the French Embassy in Muscat.
