Preparations for 48th National Day celebrations in complete swing

The Supreme Committee for National Day Celebrations which is in charge of the programmes and decorations has decided to maintain the National Day street decoration ‘simple and meaningful’. “This year as well the celebration will be like the previous 3 years.

We will maintain the light decorations straightforward and meaningful. We want to showcase some thing that is conventional in Oman. To mark the 48th National Day celebrations, colourful lights will be place up from Muscat to Grand Mosque and Omani flags will be placed from the Al Bustan Roundabout to the Barka Roundabout in Muscat,” an official from the committee mentioned.

There will be 30 minutes fireworks in Amerat and Al Khoudh. In Muscat and Dhofar, the shows will be held on the National Day. Student festival will occur each 5 years and that can be anticipated in 2020, the official mentioned.

The official mentioned that the preparations for the design and style had begun right away following final year’s National Day celebrations. While designing the lighting, the designers have to maintain in thoughts also if it can be manufactured or not, and it must not hamper visitors movement.
