H E Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhi, Minister of Oil and Gas, officially opened a retail outlet at Muscat Grand Mall (MGM) promoting goods produced by ladies from PDO’s social enterprise, Banat Oman.
Banat Oman is a vocational instruction initiative established to supply low-revenue ladies with the abilities they require for sustainable employment. It has educated much more than 300 to date, stated a press release.
The organization, in partnership with the Omani Women’s Association, has invested in programmes teaching numerous standard handicrafts, such as tailoring and embroidery, dairy and bakery goods manufacture, leather craft, camel bone carving and jewellery design and style.
The kiosk sells produced-in-Oman goods, souvenirs and keepsakes, which includes silver gifts, palm tree goods, leather handbags, greeting cards, and jam and cheese. It is open every day from 10am to 10pm.
