The programme consists of commitments in the important places of wellness and security, neighborhood infrastructure, employability coaching, charities, and animal welfare, stated a press release.
At an official ceremony at PDO’s Muscat headquarters on Wednesday, 18 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) relating to the help had been signed below the auspices of guest of honour, H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health.
The package consists of the funding of a new in-patient ward for the neurology division at Khoula Hospital and an echocardiography machine for Al Nahdha Hospital, each in the capital, to help thousands of sufferers, 50 adjustable beds for physiotherapy and rehabilitation therapy for elderly and disabled individuals, and a new ambulance for Al Mashash Health Centre in Masqshan.
Among a variety of infrastructure commitments, PDO is backing a new Food and Water Control Laboratory in Haima to cater to the study and evaluation requirements of Al Wusta governorate, and the building of a walkway with outside sport gear to aid communities workout outdoors in the public park in Dhank.
Another infrastructure pledge is for the renovation and upkeep of the 450m falaj at Al Mughbariyha in Samail.
